The Honda EG6500 generator is an economy generator and produces 6500 watts of power. It has OHV class engine. EG6500 comes with an automatic voltage control regulator system and one can switch between 120v and 240v. One can easily enjoy 10 hours of power back with full tank capacity. This is another electric starter generator.
It has commercial grade engine specifications, which makes it suitable for both residential as well as well industrial preferred generator. Honda has equipped this generator with lots of improved and new technology such as oil alert, which has never shown in their past products. Oil alert informs the user about the oil consumptions and will generate louder noise if the oil tank is about to get empty. It produced only AC output and fully convenient for running Air conditioners, freezers and other heavy power consumable products. Honda EG6500 generator doesn’t belong to super quite category because it generates almost whooping 74dB of noise on full working load. It has mounted so many innovative goodies which makes it heavier too. At 182lbs weight, I would not make it in portable category. Honda EG6500 comes with 3 years of residential usage warranty and 2 years of industrial usage warranty.

EG6500 is one of the economy generator offered by the Honda and gives great power at very affordable price. I have not found such low cost generator for such a 6500 power plant. It gives peace of mind for all the forthcoming power emergencies. It lacks with some key features such as automatic circuit breaker but still one can’t expect more for such a low price. It is capable of doing incredibly great job at an automobile body shop, hospital and any medium housing power needs. I can’t denied that fact that it’s oil alert feature save lots of concerns and avoid critical running equipments breakdown in a midway.
The digital automatic voltage regulator is another great feature offered on an economical rated generator. I am getting almost 10 hours of continue usages with half work load and about 6 hours of full 6500 watts usages capacity. The full body fairing would not attract unwanted dusts and fogs. Even it’s great for everyone’s safety. The other drawback I have found is its overweight capacity. Such bulky design make it almost not portable generator. Even you can’t expect a wireless remote in this particular model. Also, the Honda should have provided two wheels, but they have provided such features on their costly generators. I am considering this generator as a basic generator only and one should invest little bit extra buy an industrial generator if the power usage crosses above 6000 watts.
