The Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) and the Solar Energy Industries
Association (SEIA) have announced three new participants who will help anchor
the 2007 Solar Power Conference and Expo, North America's largest solar energy
event.
- Ray Lane, a partner at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers (KPCB), will speak during the Opening Plenary on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 8:30 – 10 a.m. He joins celebrated businessman Ted Turner marking the opening of this year’s conference.
- Charles R. Zimmerman, vice president of prototype and new format development at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., will speak during the Closing Plenary on Thursday, Sept. 27 from 8:30 – 10 a.m. He joins Larry Hagman, well-known actor and renewable energy supporter, and Andrew “Andy” Karsner, assistant secretary of renewable energy and energy efficiency for the U.S. Department of Energy, to create a memorable and informative Closing Plenary session - Honda generator directory.
- Broadcast journalist Jordan Goodman, known as “America’s Money Answer Man,” will moderate the CEO Panel on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 8:30 – 10 a.m., bringing together CEOs and senior executives from seven of the top solar companies worldwide: BP Solar, Conergy, Kyocera Solar, Q-Cells, Sharp Solar, SunPower Corp. and Suntech, deluxe EM7000isAB Honda generators.

Meanwhile Charles R. Zimmerman, who has led worldwide sustainability initiatives for Wal-Mart Stores, is in a unique position to conclude the conference in the Closing Plenary session with his insight into the corporate response to environmental challenges.”
Judd continued, “We’re also pleased to feature the perspectives of key leaders from within the solar industry. Jordan Goodman, a personal finance guru and a leading financial analyst on broadcast news, will prompt the leaders of the world’s largest solar manufacturers to answer tough questions about the future of the solar industry during the CEO Panel.”
Ray Lane helps entrepreneurs with technological and market insight, organizational development, team building, selling and managing growth. Before joining KPCB, Lane was president and chief operating officer of Oracle Corporation, the second-largest software company in the world and the leading enterprise software and services company, Honda generator articles.
Charles R. Zimmerman oversees prototype and new format development for Wal-Mart Stores and also leads the company’s “Sustainable Buildings Network,” which among other things is charged with increasing the overall energy efficiency of new and existing buildings by 20 to 30 percent.
